The "LPA2" is a high-precision oil particle counter that measures the quantity and size of solid contaminants in hydraulic power systems. Seventy percent of hydraulic system failures are caused by contamination of the hydraulic fluid. Contamination includes wear particles (metal powder, seals), rust, and moisture. Managing the hydraulic system means managing oil contamination.
